Free · iMessage app
Turn any message into a scrambled-tile puzzle and send it to a friend to unscramble — right inside Messages.
Free on iPhone · No ads · No in-app purchases · No tracking
Type your own words — or tap a ready-made everyday line: greetings, plans, warm notes, quick reactions.
It drops into the conversation as scrambled letter tiles — the whole puzzle encoded right into the message.
A friend swaps the tiles to reveal your message, right inside Messages. No app switch, no setup.
If the person you send a puzzle to doesn't have LineBy You installed — including friends on Android — the message opens a tiny web page at 0n1studios.com/lineby/play so they can still play. It decodes the puzzle from the link and runs entirely in their browser: no app, no cookies, no analytics.
No account. No tracking. No data collected. The entire puzzle travels inside the message itself — there's no server in the loop, and gameplay is fully offline (the only network use is the App Store sheet behind its Get LineBy button). LineBy You can't read your conversations, and it never asks for your location, contacts, camera, or photos. Its App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected." Full details on the privacy page.
One note: the phrase is encoded for the tiles, not encrypted — anyone with the message link can read it, so don't scramble anything sensitive.
LineBy You is the free companion to LineBy, the word game with 315 hand-built puzzles drawn from history, film, and music — free to play, with a one-time $0.99 unlock for the full library. Want the full library, the custom puzzle builder, and Game Center achievements? Take a look inside LineBy →
