Everywhen Accessibility

Built to be heard

Everywhen is an audiobook at heart — the story is meant to be listened to. It's designed to work with the assistive features built into iOS. Here's what's supported today, and what we're working on next.

Available now

Listen-first storytelling

Every beat is narrated aloud, so the heart of the experience — the story itself — comes through by listening, without needing to read the screen.

VoiceOver

Controls across the app are labelled for VoiceOver. The choice compass — normally a rotating dial — automatically becomes a plain, fully tappable list of choices when VoiceOver is on, so you never have to use the rotational gesture to make a choice.

Dynamic Type

Text scales with the reading size you set in iOS Settings. At the largest accessibility sizes, the layout adapts — simplifying rows and giving the words room to breathe.

Reduce Motion

With Reduce Motion enabled, theme transitions, the spinning compass, and other animations are minimised.

Adjustable controls & haptics

The choice compass is exposed as an adjustable control, and gentle haptics confirm each selection and confirmation. Touch targets are sized for comfortable tapping.

Spoken onboarding

During the welcome flow, screen changes are announced and VoiceOver focus moves to each new step so you can follow along by ear.

Coming in a future update

VoiceOver for the home genre carousel

Clearer announcement of the genre banner on the Home screen — which genre is shown, and a reliable way to swipe between them with VoiceOver.

Stronger contrast on the session controls

Improved contrast and grouped labelling for the session-length selector and other glass controls, with continued contrast refinements across the themed screens.

Voice Control & Switch Control

Fully verified hands-free play from start to finish.
