Runoff for iOS, Android & Steam · Last updated 31 August 2026
Runoff is an offline racing game. It has no accounts, shows no ads, and runs no analytics — your progress lives on your device and nowhere else. This policy explains exactly what is, and is not, handled when you play.
The short version. We collect nothing. No account or sign-up, no ads, no analytics or crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party tracking. The game makes no connection to us or to anyone else's servers. Its one network feature — optional head-to-head racing — talks directly to a friend's device on your own local network and goes no further.
Runoff is developed and published by 0n1 Studios, a sole proprietorship ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact [email protected].
Runoff has no login and no user accounts. You are never asked for a name, email address, phone number, or any other contact detail. Your career progress, driver pick, and settings are stored only on your device.
Nothing. Runoff contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party code that phones home. It does not read your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera. It makes no requests to the internet at all — the game is fully playable offline, forever.
Runoff's head-to-head mode connects two devices directly, on the same local network: one player hosts and shows their device's local address, the other types that address in. There is no game server, no matchmaking service, and nothing is routed through us. What travels between the two devices is game data only — board positions, inputs, and the fictional racer handles from the game's own roster. The address you type is remembered on your device, so racing the same friend twice doesn't mean typing it twice; it is never sent anywhere else.
Local network — your device asks for this the first time you host or join a head-to-head race (on iOS it is the Local Network prompt). It is used for exactly that and nothing else; decline it and the rest of the game is unaffected.
Media & streaming music — this version of Runoff ships the groundwork for an optional streaming soundtrack (Apple Music, Spotify), but the feature is switched off: the app does not request access to your music library and cannot read it. If a future version enables it, your device will ask you first, and this policy will be updated.
Game Center — the groundwork for optional leaderboards and achievements also ships switched off: nothing is submitted to Game Center or to any other service in this version. If a future version enables it, it will be optional, and this policy will be updated.
Everything Runoff saves — career progress, your rider, music and control settings, a remembered head-to-head address — is stored locally on your device using the platform's standard app storage. Nothing syncs to iCloud or any other cloud account, and nothing is backed up by us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Runoff collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There are no ads, no chat with strangers, no links out of the game, and no purchases.
If a future update changes how Runoff handles data — for example, enabling the Apple Music option or online play — we will update this page and its date before that version ships. The current version of this policy always lives at this address.
